What do I need to become a driver
A valid driver's license, vehicle registration and roadworthiness certificate, a roadworthy car or keke, and a smartphone.— usually within 24–48 hours.
How much does it cost to drive with Kabo?
Kabo takes 0% commission on every fare. Instead, you pay a flat daily, weekly, or monthly subscription — the amount depends on your vehicle type. See our Drive with Kabo page for current rates.
Do I keep 100% of what riders pay?
Yes — every naira from the fare is yours. The subscription is the only thing you pay Kabo.
How long does verification take?
Typically a day or two, though it may take longer as we scale. We'll notify you as soon as you're approved.
Do I get paid for driving to a pickup?
Yes. If only a pickup is beyond 5km distance, you're compensated for the extra pick up distance.
What happens if a rider cancels on me?
If you've already reached the rider, you can collect a cancellation fee directly from them. If they cancel while you're still on your way, Kabo verifies the distance you've traveled and pays you directly, so you're never left uncompensated.
Can I choose which vehicle type to register as?
Yes — Car or Keke, based on what you drive. Pricing and requirements differ slightly by vehicle type.
Is there support if I have a fuel or maintenance question?
Ask our driver support team about the Presidential CNG Initiative if you're interested in converting your vehicle to reduce fuel costs — we're happy to point you toward your nearest approved conversion centre.

How and when do I get paid
Cash trips pay you instantly. Digital payments are collected in your in-app wallet and can be withdrawn to your account — the app shows daily and weekly earning breakdowns.
Can I drive part-time
Absolutely. There are no minimum hours and no penalties for going offline. Many of our drivers started part-time around another job.
