TERMS & CONDITIONS

Welcome to Kabo. By creating an account or using the Kabo app, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Who can use Kabo

You must be at least 18 years old to create a rider or driver account. Drivers must hold a valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and roadworthiness certificate for their vehicle.

2. What Kabo is — and isn't

Kabo is a technology platform that connects independent drivers with riders seeking transportation. Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of Kabo. Kabo does not own or operate vehicles and is not a transportation carrier.

3. Fares and payment

  • Fares are calculated based on distance, time, and vehicle type, and shown to you before you confirm a booking.
  • Kabo does not take a commission from driver fares. Drivers pay a separate, flat subscription fee to access the platform.
  • Payment can be made by cash, card, bank transfer, or Kabo Wallet, as described in our Pricing page.

4. Cancellations

Cancellation fees may apply as described in our Pricing page, and are paid to the driver, not retained by Kabo, except where otherwise stated.

5. Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use Kabo for any unlawful purpose
  • Harass, discriminate against, or endanger a driver, rider, or any other person
  • Provide false information during sign-up or verification
  • Attempt to circumvent Kabo's safety or payment systems

Violations may result in suspension or permanent removal from the platform, at Kabo's discretion.

6. Safety

Both riders and drivers agree to follow the safety guidance in our Safety Policy, including using in-app safety features responsibly and reporting incidents promptly.

7. Limitation of liability

Kabo provides a platform connecting independent drivers and riders. While we take driver verification and safety seriously, Kabo is not liable for the independent actions of drivers or riders beyond what is required by applicable Nigerian law. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law, including in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

8. Data privacy

Your use of Kabo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app before they take effect.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
