What we're building toward

Kabo starts with rides, but we don't think that's where it should end. Over time, we want Kabo to be the platform that also helps drivers get a better deal on fuel, maintenance, and the everyday costs of keeping a vehicle on the road — not just a place to find a passenger.

Why drive with Kabo?

• 0% commission — always. Every naira a rider pays for the trip is yours. Not a promotional rate. Not a "for now." A permanent commitment.
• One flat daily fee, not a percentage of your income. You pay ₦650/day (or save more with weekly and monthly plans) — regardless of whether you complete 5 trips or more.
• Paid for the drive to your rider, not just the drive with them. Long pickups are compensated, not free labour.
• Guaranteed pay if a rider cancels on you. If a rider cancels after you're already on the way, Kabo makes sure you're compensated — whether or not the rider ever pays anything themselves only applied 2 times per day.

What you need to get started

• A valid Nigerian driver's license
• Vehicle registration and roadworthiness certificate
• A roadworthy car or keke (tricycle)
• A smartphone
• About 10 minutes to complete your application

How to apply

1. Download the Kabo Driver app from the Play Store or App Store.
2. Sign up with your name, phone number, and vehicle type — Car or Keke.
3. Upload your documents — license, vehicle papers, and a clear photo of yourself.
4. Get verified. We review every application carefully — this typically takes a day or two, though it may take longer as we scale. We'll notify you the moment you're approved.
5. Add your payout details so you can be paid quickly and reliably.
6. Go online whenever you're ready — trip requests come straight to your screen

There's no commission taken from any trip, cash or digital. Your subscription is the only thing you pay Kabo — everything else you earn is yours.

A simple comparison: on a typical day earning around ₦15,000–20,000 in fares, a one time daily fee of ₦650 flat for CARS and  ₦350 for KEKE — meaningfully less than the 15–25% commission most platforms in Nigeria take per trip.

Please note that payments made via bank card will incur an additional processing fee of 2.5%. Alternatively, there are no fees associated with cash payments.

Getting paid for the drive to your rider

Kabo pays you for pickup distance beyond the first 8km, shown to you clearly before you accept a trip — so you know what to expect before you commit, and you're never driving long distances for free.

If a rider cancels

• If you've already reached the rider (or they're in sight) when they cancel, you can collect a cancellation fee directly from them.
• If a rider cancels while you're still on your way, with no contact made, Kabo verifies the distance you traveled and pays you directly — capped at a fair, predictable amount. You are never left uncompensated for a cancelled trip you were already driving toward.

Fuel costs — a note on CNG

Nigeria's Presidential CNG Initiative offers subsidized (sometimes free) conversion from petrol to compressed natural gas, with real drivers reporting fuel cost drops of 40–60%. If you're interested in converting your vehicle, ask our driver support team — we're happy to point you toward your nearest approved conversion centre.

What we expect from you

• Treat every rider with courtesy and respect, regardless of who they are.
• Keep your vehicle clean, roadworthy, and safe.
• Never discriminate against a rider for any reason, including their use of a service animal.
• Report any safety concern immediately through the app.
